2 Mods - Ipod interface & M5 mirrors

My Ride: BMW 545iA Black Sapphire
Model Year: 2005
Engine: 545i
Picked up the car today, having spent 4 days there (twice software update), of what was supposed to be a simple ipod interface install, m5 mirror install and a software update for the eyebrow issue..
1. Ipod.
few items on this subject. ipod interface did not work at first - computer crashed, took 2 days to get the thing working. Don't know why they had to program since I had the CD changer, nevertheless they did. If you had the problem of music continuing to play in the CD changer after turning off the car - like me, it seems to continue on the ipod as well to some extent. There's a mixed variation of things happening depending if you first muted then turned off the car, came back before/after the car "sleeps" etc. I need some time to experiment on this - as i just went to the car and found now the song where I left it..
Overall, happy that I went for the interface and not aux in (which a had ordered - but cancelled at the last minute) the experience is easy and safe, audio quality is nice (not as good as CD with regards to bass) had to make a few adjustments on the L7 equalizer (pic included) boosted the bass basically. I like it fine - not bad having the luxury of one's entire music collection at your fingertips.
Cost for ipod interface: 380euros
2. Eyebrow issue. There back !
Car was first loaded with 24.01, at this point caused a lot of problems (computer crashed) no eyebrows (no surprise), no ipod - BMW Holland contacted > directed to BMW Munich - my car was then hooked up and manipulated directly from Munich (didn't know they could do that). Munich has programmed the modules of the car somehow independantly - I think i must have 24.00 since I have the eyebrows back - BUT > have lost mp3 capabilty..will be contacted to have the next version installed with the fix (probably v25).
Cost: Warranty
3. M5 mirrors. Well, what can i say they're just sexy!!
Is rainning today - only garage pics for the moment. Everything works just like my old mirrors.
The LED's are stonger on this one. BMW had to order 2 rubber seals for them since mine were missing from the box. Gorgeous. Get them.
Cost 650euros + 150(material & install)

BTW, do you know how much they cost at the dealer ? > 1800euros. :'( - not installed !These were one of the cheapest deals i found with the help of nicke60gre on ebay. I posted in the Classifieds section some other ones that were going on auction over the New year period, not many people bidded and they went for arounf 450euros.
THAT was a good deal.Honestly, if someone finds m5 mirrors painted and installed for less than, say, 700euros it's a HOT deal !! Hopefully as time goes by they will get cheaper and cheaper...
