Das, the guy who started this site, was the first to figure out the whole issue of different suspension and offset settings for xi cars. He himself owns a 530xi. If I remember correctly, the xi suspension sits 14mm or 17mm higher than stock.

Congrats on the replicas. I am happy that you found a place that works. It is great that some can report back on the "good" places and good experiences. Please report back again in a couple of weeks to confirm no vibration.

I think that you may want bigger spacers on the back. The wheels are high, but much better than the OEM wheel.

19" would have been better, but those look good. I am glad to hear a success story. I think that the key with your replicas were that they came hubcentric, and they were made in Italy rather than Hong Kong (or China).

Congrats again!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i have to admit it looks very very good. Exactly this is the first time i see some 166 style wheels on a X-drive model, and it looks perfect.
Hope the ride quality doesn't degrade in time... But it really looks very good --> Congrats!!!

The xi sits higher than the sport suspension model (14mm). However, it's that same ride height as a non-sport model.

I wish I could have done these rims in 19". If you have been following any of the xi threads, the xi hubs are placed out further, thus xi owners have to use higher offset wheels. I could have gone with another style of rims, but I really like the M5 rims, and this was the only way to have those wheels without any issues.

There is a 19" x 8.5 style 166 replica made by Miro wheels which can be bought from Modbargains. However, that replica is not exact, because they manufactured it with a lip, which the OEMs or my replicas do not have.

There are no spacers on the wheels currently. I am thinking of adding 5mm spacers in the rear to make it flush with the fender. Not sure if I want to go this route first, wouldn't want to introduce problems when I don't have any.

How high does the Hamann springs lower the car? As of right now, there is about 2.3 inches of fender gap both front and rear.
