My Ride: 545i SMG with Limited Slip Differential
Model Year: 2005
Default

The car was dirty but I have no time to clean it or bring it to wash, in last days .

Imho every 166 weights 3 Kg less than a 124 wheel .
And Pilot Sport 2 (wonderful!) weigh, each one, at least 3-4 Kg less that Dunlop Runflat .

Thus I think I have gained 20-30 Kg on the four wheels and I feel the difference, in acceleration and turning the steering .

It seems a different car when cornering!!

Comments ?

I am also thinking over to change the front bumper with M5 bumper :

Advice ?

your car looks great

m5 bumper is nice but the m tech is also nice.I would keep it like that because you have m5 wheels and mirrors.with m5 bumper arent you posing a little? But its your car and if you like go for it.It will look great. no doubt about that.

Alex,
Looks good!

Might I suggest getting the M-Tech rear bumper then hit ats77 up for the Hamann quad diffuser.

Yes Vegas, 166s are very nice!!

For rear bumper .. I know, I know, I need absolutely the M-tech or M5 bumper (I prefer the last, M5) .. In next days I will talk with the dealer for the rear .

No, no, not for posing ... The M5 front bumper is better than Mtech, imho .

In any case, it is not urgent change the front .

Airducts ?
What are they ?
Are they difficult to moding ?

I totally agree on that . M5 rear would look nice

Car looks better with the 166's on . But i shouldn't go for M5 front bumper. Like ats said the difference is not that big + you loose the fog lights. Why do that 4?

And why don't do that for 3-400e (I think dealer would discount the M5 front if I give him my M-tech) ?

Fog lights ... I have just bought from car-gym the HBH format 4700K fogs to replace the original and I have to mount them .
For the fact of loosing fog lights you and ats are right ..

Alex congarts too your new wheels they look very good
Now you most take a desition how your car too look like.
1: Keep the M-tech front and get the M-tech rear whith Hamann diffuser and your car will look diffrent. Sporty but not a poser
2: Go for M5 front and skip the M-tech and go for M5 bumber and be a big Poser
3: Or mix it like today whith M-tech front and M5 rear half poser

I would choose the nr1 if I whas you, that my 2 cents

Hi wowe!
I think I will mount the M5 front, because I can give back my M-tech to my dealer (now many 5er have M aero kit and someone will do an accident, so the dealer can use it on another car) .
Imho with 3-400 euros I can get the new bumper, painted and mounted .

For the rear I'm not sure about I have to do, if m-tech or M5 : the main problem would be the exhaust (with M5 bumper I would need 4 pipes at the rear) .

In next weeks I will make something and I will keep you update!
