My Ride: 2008 BMW 535i
Carbon Black
M Sports Package
Mod: OEM 166 wheels, 12mm H&R Spacers
I actually emailed Howitzer, as I really liked how his car looked. He me know that the outsise of his tire rubs a little with the lip of the fender. He also said that when he drove alone or 1 passenger, no problem but with 2 people in the rear once in a while he had rubbing if he hit a good sized bump or dip in the road. Its not an issue for him, but I am pretty much decided I won't lower as I don't want any rubbing at all. Maybe Eibach Prokit will work as I understand the lowering is less than H&R.

Lower it! Its almost a must with the 166's and lower profile wheels. It just won't look proper. Also, if you DO lower, make sure you get new shocks and struts. Do not use OEM shocks with different sport springs. You'll just blow your shocks out fast.
p.s. - if you're rubbing on OEM shocks its because they're made to travel up and down much more than a sport shock would. Mine almost never rub because its stiffer. Only when I have several in the car and hit a big dip or bump as noted.
