Curious...when I first went to this thread and link the other day, I noticed that the before (335i stock) mod picture had more than 52K. The aftermod shows just over 52K. And now the before mod picture isn't working on the link. Will the odometer be affected with this mod?
The mileage will not be affected. In BMW cars it is stored in a few modules and when I ship the M5/6 cluster to you it will include your VIN and will have the mileage erased (blanked).
After installation the actual mileage will automatically be written to the cluster.

I did this mod some years ago an find this offer pretty reasonable. It took me some time to find a fairly priced M5 cluster off ebay plus the right people to erase, code VIN and program. This offer make this mod an off the shelf PnP product - good stuff
As mentioned by Patrys, mileage will be correct and carried over from your car.
Personally, if had a diesel I would rather do the LED cluster mod as the yellow/redline color would look strange occupying half the rpm outer range...
Just one note. If you ever have to go to BMW to program/code your car make sure to swap the original cluster back into the car before.
