I have an '09 528i Base model (doesn't have the HID xenons, rather it has the hallogen bulbs)and want to change the AE to LED. I have purchased a paid off EBAY, but they are the wrong kind. I am looking to purchase the right kind of LED AE for my car. I just need some guidance to which product. Wondering if This would work.

The AE bulb in the LCI halogen are unique. You'll most likely have to cut the bulb holder to fit LED replacements in there.

It's probably best you change the system like Simon said or get Orion V2 and cut your headlights open for the best setup.

Noob here. 08' 528i here. I do have the Xenon headlights and just want to change the Angel Eyes to white also. I asked my Service Advisor, and he said to just change the bulbs to a different temp. Is he wrong and I need to get an entire kit?? Thanks!

you can change the bulbs with an LED or HID replacement bulb, but the outer rings will never be as bright as the inner ones. the only way to get really bright and even rings is to get the Orion V2 replacement, but that will require opening up the headlight assembly.

Yep, all you have to do is change the H8 bulb that is in there. Like what mo858 said the outer rings will always be dimmer then the inner one however it still can look good. I recently replaced my AE bulbs with Lux H8 V3 led lights and my AE's are whiter and surprisingly bright (even in daylight). The only thing is that the Lux AE's are a little pricey at $240 a pair however I like the results.
