is the 08 shifter compatable to put on the 04 model ?

wondering if i can change the 04 -07 shifter to the new 08 shifter possible anyhelp thanks

Ohh.. no I didn't do that, some other dude did I believe. I just changed it to the SMG M5 knob. heh.

It depends ... just the stick maybe but not the functionality since the pre-LCI is mechanical and the LCI is electronic.

it's impossible because the pre lci models shift mechanical and the lci models shift electronical.
You have to change the whole drivetrain - 2500? and more...
