Hey guys,
I replaced my '08 550's exhaust with a DINAN one. What should I do with the old BMW Exhaust muffler? It is one of the models that has black painted tips. Is there a market for them? FYI. I still have the entire CAT Back system from my e39 which has sat behind my garage since '03. Through winter and summer and is still shiny with no rust. I capped off the ends so no animals would call it home. |
of course it's worth something ... Ebay, the classified section in this forum, etc. I would say it's worth $500 ? Brand new OEM, probably $1200+ ?

There is very little demand for them....most sell for around $100......not worth it. Keep it

How about approaching a body shop that specializes in BMW work? Sell it to them for cheap, something is better then something taking up space.....

I save my parts to swap back when I trade my cars. Modded cars are worth nothing at dealers. I'm too busy/lazy to sell my cars privately...

I am getting the Intake System, Throttle Body and Stage 3 to go with it. |

that said, I've only had to store things like mirrors, hand brake levers and bulbs! if you can store it, you may find it useful to have the OEM parts when you come to sell it / trade it. |

I also have 1972 Buick GS in my third bay and I have a spare rear bumper from a parts car hanging on the wall. The thing is HUGE but where am I going to find another bumper for that car if someone rear ends me? The garage also has an attic and my 545i OEM nose and side skirts are going up there. I already store my OEM wheels with those horrible run flat tires up there. The car will still have new tires on the OEM wheels the day I trade it. My pride and joy BBS LM's are going to my son when he gets a 3 series or I'm being buried with them  |
Make a bong outta it duuuuude
