06 525i with M5 wheels
question .... I Just picked up some 166 style OEM M5 wheels for my 06 525i with sports package. Anyone have any idea what kind of tire size I can run on these wheels ?
Just wondering if the sports suspension has any effect on the tire size I could run on these wheels.

My Ride: BMW 550i
can't you use m5 specs tyres 255/40/19 and 285/35/19 will it affect speed readings? comfort ride would be slightly better on highier profile tyres

Some forum members have reported using the stock M5 Tire sizes and reported no issues. However the general consensus is they can rub. At one time I had the OEM 166's with the recommended tire size listed above and had no issues. As with any low profile tire setup, you need to exercise caution.
