Is the 04-05 M54 and 06-07 M54 Engine Bay the same?

My Ride: 2011 550 AW
2005 530AW GONE
I removed the OE airbox and looked at the CAI from AFE made for 06-07 and noticed the hoses were different, or was the wrong part sent to me, the heat shield sat in the right place and and the intake tube from the engine to the filter seemed appropriate...hmmm, vacuum hose???. If it is different then I must sell the brand new intake...

The 04-05 engines are different from the 06-07. AFE only makes intakes for the 06-07 so you have to do some custom modification to fit on 04-05.

My Ride: F13 M6
for the 530i, they are indeed different engines for those years you specified, except that it is not the M54 for both specified years. from 04-05 the 530i features the 225 hp M54 engine, and from 06-07 the 530i features the 255 hp N52 engine.
