non-existent on the v3, unless of course I was duped and was sent the v2 lights ... sold at v3 price.

Hmm, we would not have shipped you V3 instead of V2, not possible. The V3 has the fins on the sides.
I haven't had one other report (out of thousands) on static w/ V3 on E60s, I am stumped. It may be something else causing it.
