I have a sneaking suspicion that this poll has gone the way of "size matters". I wonder if the wheel sizes had been reversed in some models, whether the vote would have gone the other way?

Ofcourse size matters

Seriously, with the E60 you need to fill these arches nicely, and anything less than 18" won't do it for me.
Saying that, I would not go down the excessive route of 20"+ as some may do (Compromises the ride and looks like a Boy racer car).

I think 18"/19" suit the E60 very well. It is a big car for 16" & 17"s

Nicely is the important word here. I for one think that the "leading" 246's are not worth paying for. (Nor are either of the 18" IMHO).

I would take the 244-styling alloy's (voted for them), but is is a close call with the 245-style alloy's. I guess I need to see them on a black BMW 5-series first to make a "real" decision.

which style will come standard on the non sport 535? any pics?

As I have never ordered a new car, when you order the car and want a different style wheel, is there or charge to get a different style and how much?

thanks

Yes there are different prices for each set of wheels, but basically you get one as standard, another set with a minimal charge, and then there are some 4-6 different sets that range from expensive to utterly ridicolous...
