Xenon gas halogen angel eye bulbs Vs new high intensity LED angel eyes
#1
Hi guys,
Could you please give me your opinion on the 2 sets of bulbs I put on my car.
1. xenon gas (Left side see picture)
2. LEDs (right side see picture)
This car takes 4 bulbs in total, 2 each side.
The bulbs on the left are 2x halogen xenon gas filled bulbs, so do not give computer error message. They give a lot whiter appearance then the standard yellow halogen bubs but are not noticeable during the day.
The bulbs on the right are 2 x new hi intensity LED bulbs (brighter then normal leds). As you can see they are a lot whiter and prominent then the xenon gas bulbs. Only problem is they give a computer error message due the lower current they draw. Obviously this can be fixed with load resistors but your looking at 4 bulbs so 8 resistors in total and then you have to fit them somewhere safe as they get hot.
Currently i have the 4 bulbs of xenon gas fitted so no OBC errors.
Was wondering if you guys knew a way to get around getting the OBC bulb error? If i was to fit both sides with the same LEDs would the error message go away?
Cheers,
Muz

Well, they do sell the AIB V3 Halo upgrades that do not give an error message but they will cost you a pretty penny... Check out the search bar to find out more...

yes thats right the ones on the cars left are the LEDs. For the AIB V3 Halo upgrades do you have to open up the headlights?
cheers,
cheers,
Nope... Just open the cap where the bulb goes, unscrew the old, and screw the new. Some people have had to take out the headlights but that is only 4 screws and very easy.

Why 8 resistors, and not 4? What is the wattage of the LEDS? The stock angel eyes are 5W. There is a user here from Hong Kong that is selling 8W bulbs that don't trigger any errors. BTW I like the LEDS, are very bright.

I was told I would need one for each wire, hence 8. 8w bulbs sound cool!

Just had a look at the website, looks a good product but i have non xenon lights so cant use this on my car. I have to use 4 push bulbs for my angel eyes. This unit is only for cars with OEM xenons. Thanks any way.
Sorry bro...
