I think you may be confusing the DIY section of the main site and the DIY section of the forums. (I agree that it can lead to some confusion...)

The main site's DIY section is at: http://www.e60.net/diy/ and the forum's DIY section is at: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showforum=14

Hope that helps clear things up.

(Lomag, if you're reading this, vern brings up a good point...)

Has anyone heard about the Xenesis Tru-match bulbs for BMWs. They are making the E60 foglight 9006 bulb in xenon color. Does anybody know if I was to install these on my car, would I have any problems with the electrical system.

Thanks,

Ponster

Picture is above link is wrong. I just received bulbs that I ordered and it was regular bulb style. I was hoping to see what I saw from the website. And price was $45.00 USD. but shipping charge was $19.00 USD. so basically it's better off to buy PIAA lights. it's more reliable. XENESIS lightbulb looks so cheap. It looks same as what I purchased for $19 from other after market online site.

if you want xenesis bulbs order them from bimmian.com. ordered from them a few times before.

If you are looking for the bulbs that look like xenons the most, i would go with the polarg bi-hibrids

i thought foglights are intended non xenons for its purpose.

the halogen has warmer colour temperature thus cuts through fog more effectively, they are intended to light up the floor for the driver.
whereas xenons are aim for range and width, thus also making others aware of your vehicle.

Here's a thread with pix of PIAA Xtreme White 4150K fog bulbs I installed--they are a perfect match for the 4200K xenon headlights, and I've used them on a few other cars with great results. I got them on eBay.
http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=7232

There are many bulbs out there that claim to be "xenon match" but many of them accomplish this by increasing the wattage (from 55W to 85W for some), which can lead to melted wires or lenses, so I've always stuck with brand name bulbs (like PIAA or Philips) who are OEM manufacturers and clearly state the wattage of their bulbs.

Quick Reply: Xenon foglights
