Yeah, I'm here in NYC to, and really, all you need is half a brain. I laughed at how many 4matic/xdrive cars I saw abandoned on the side of the read, stuck in snow. Even today still, that's how that xdrive is working out for them. My 550i will remain parked for another day or two until most of the roads are cleared then I'll be fine just like every other snow event. There are however a lot of plain RWD cars driving about todfay just fine today, they just waited until the streets were clear to attempt to drive and they used their brains while driving, simple. A lot of AWD car/truck owners thought this weekend was their chance to show off how superior their AWD drive system is and they just ended up STUCK. They can still hear the dealer: this xdrive/4matic/AWD model will get you through the snow where a reg RWD fails. LOL..suckers.

The ability to move about in these conditions has less to do with X drive and more to do with having the right kind of tires. I have winter setups on all the cars and they go through this with no issues. The 4.8 X5 with Blizzaks is just a tank.

Well next time get the 550 xdrive and you wont have to park your car for a week bro.xdrive may not be for you but it still is a bmw and we need to stop this xdrive vs rwd debates and realize its the same darn cars, they are all bmws just diffrent options and drive trains but at the end of the day its ITS STILL A BMW!
