Hello,
i'm buying wheels for my E60 525xi, tyre dimensions 245/40/18.
I was given a good offer for alu wheels 8J x 18 ET 47.
As I know, the perfect ET number for E60 Xdrive is 43.
Is the ET number 47 ok for using on E60 525 xdrive?
Thank you,
David

ET (Einpress Tiefe) is a measurement of how big the offset is between the centre of the wheel and the wheel mounting surface.

If you go from an offset of 43 mm to 47 mms the wheel will be 4 mm closer to the car. That's almost 10%. Whether that's ok or not depends on a) national law and b) psyhical law - will the tyre hit anything?

Yes it will work.

The fronts should be able to handle 4mm of inward extension.

The rears can have more than 25mm in inner clearance with an 8J ET 43. so the ET 47 will not be a problem.
