Last time I got a loaner, I was given a filthy 3-wagon, that smelt like it had carried a pack of dogs and was driven by a chain smoker!! I felt like I needed a shower.......
Tomorrow I take the 550i in for the recall, so it will be interesting to see what they give me this time. Here's hoping it's something a darn sight better than before.

A new 7 for a loaner is awesome - very jealous. My best was probably a 335i sedan (which given that it was backed in I didn't realize was a 335 until I floored it coming out of a driveway and lit up the traction control for an 1/8th of a mile down the road!)
Most expensive was probably a new loaded 5 series, but on both of those cars I still wanted for mine back after a short bit (though I might have been able to get used to that 335i - what a rocket! and with an automatic that blipped/rev-matched on downshifts it was great fun)
When in last week for the V-8 vacuum line recall, got a brand new stripper 328xi, which is a LOT better than I recalled - steering was very responsive compared to what I remembered from a couple of years ago. Absolutely hated the transmission when not in sport mode however - was like sending a telegram to get the thing to downshift or accelerate quickly from a stop.
The loaner-car guy at my dealer claims to have at least one 335d available, which I'd love to try out.
