I have had my e60 for a month now, and i love it... and i was looking under the hood going oh great they buried the radiator on this one...... since my e39 i had to change the behr radiator 3 times in 30k miles.... but to my surprise it was aluminum.... wow and looking over the car they have learned that cutting cost and being cheap should not be a part of BMW, this car is alot better built......

the whole front of your (our) car is aluminum... a magnet wont stick to the hood or fenders but it will to the doors and the rest of the car... but yeah, looking over the car you can tell a lot of thought was put into the design and placement of all components

If you want to see the result of some real quality detail - look at the hood ground strap. It is used to shield the radio from the ignition. It is a serious component where they could have used just a wire with a sheet metal screw like everyone else. If they do this they most likely will carry this theme throughout.I have been told that the sheet metal is thicker than most and the paint is excellent. Yes we have a lot of detail.

I looked at the Hyundai genesis and the Main battery ground strap was not too substantial.
It was a light thing bolted on a piece of sheet metal held on with 2 small tack welds to the body.
After a little rust they will have batt problems.
