Wow another problem This is almost funny

Now when I turn A/C off i hear a weird sound every now and then immediatly after tuning of the A/C on top of that i also hear a sound coming from the passenger side of the dash wich almost sounds liek air still coming out? Anyone have this problem ? ( yet)

I have the same thing. But after reading other threads it sounds common. Mine will go on and go off for various periods of time. It will be nice to see if it doesn't happen during the winter.

i think this is NOT a problem....my air con on the E60 does this sometimes as its shutting down or "venting". my E46 coupe made exactly the same noises every now and then on shutdown/startup.....a BMW tech guy did explain to me once what the system was doing at that time but i cannot remember exactly......nothing to worry about though.

I don't believe you need to turn it off. When the weather is colder, it acts as a dehumidifier to keep the glass form fogging up. I think it's in the manual. Any way, I agree with Iceman. I never turn mine off either.

Iceman, turning on AC all the time would make engine weaker and consume more gas. I guess it's ok for 545 because you lose only a few hp, compared to 530. If i turn on AC, performance reduce significantly. Fun is reduced, Comfort is increased
