Finally today I went to the dealer to have my wrong matching trims repleced...
The new trims are finally in stock, the dealer especially requested the latest production available, in order to avoid problems
Surprise! the new set of trims is exactly like the one I actually have, mismatched...
At this point I will call BMW Italy to have e refund or something like this...
Bad... bad... bad...

I would not give up, and I would have the dealer reorder. We know from seeing pictures on this forum that most e60s are well matched.

Sorry to hear Rutto.
Mine are now OK but it took three times for them to get it right.
The assembly is still not 100%, some mismatching

I will not give up, but I think it makes no sense to insist with the dealer, I don't have the time to go there three times to solve the problem. I will call BMW Italy, they have an excellent customer support and bypassing the dealer is usually better...
It was good I've asked to see the parts before replacement, otherwise I would have left the car there for one day just to find it with new trims but anyway mismatching...

I had the same trim problem on my 04. The door trim was not the same as the dash.

How about suggesting that they replace the whole set of trims rather than just the mismatched items. This might ensure a more consistent colour match...?

News!
After my call to customer service, BMW wrote me that such mismatching are considered to be possible and in compliance to tehir standards...
I just sent them the picture I took saying that "even if I'm not the one who sets BMW standards, I don't think that such result could be considered -in compliance-"
After few days my dealer called to inform me that BMW contacted them about my issue. I am invited to go there, visit their garage of new 5er and choose among the stock the trims I prefer, they gonna take it from a new car and put on mine.
What do you think?
