Just noticed cos its raining that even though my car is RHD the wipers are biased LHD. Would have thaought that they could have changed the bias depending on delivery country....

Sorry if this is a well discussed fact....

Yepp, it was like that with the E39 also. It's no problem since the right wiper extends it's self all the way out in the corner of the windscreen.

That would drive me crazy.

Maybe that's why MB was using the single-wiper blade a while back.

I know the wipers are the same whether LHD or RHD but they work really well and BMW would have checked it out and decided it was OK. Just think they could have added it to the options list, I'd say an ?800 option - missed out there BMW

Passengers always comment on the wiper with the cam action

Both E39 and E60 5 Series only have 1 wiper system for LHD and RHD

The E46 and E90 3 Series have different wiper systems for RHD and LHD though

The wipers aren't fast enough.... it drives me crazy in FL where it rains hard every day in the summer.

I prefer it with the LHD bias - when you give the window a quick blast with the water to clear the screen during the dry days AND you have the driver side window is open (RHD) it then doesn't let water pour in!

My old E46 would always do that...annoying. (But then again why didn't I just close the window - I hear you ask!).
