My Ride: 535d Titanium Silver, Black Nasca Leather, Servotronic Steering, , De-Chrome, Bi-Xenons including Headlight Washer Jets, adaptive headlights, Advanced A/C, Auto Dim Interior & Exterior Mirrors, Electric Folding Mirrors, Front Centre Sliding Armrest, extended lights package
does anyone see any difference rotating this knob as i don't .

It clearly makes a difference for me. What CIP version are you on?
My only complaint is that the sensor does not work as accurately as the E39...

It does seem to make some difference for me, though I must say that the rain sensor seems to work much better in light rain conditions after my software upgrade to CIP 15.0

The whole idea behind "rain-sensing" wipers is that there should not be any adjustments. The wipers sense the rain and wipe as needed.

Page 57 of my manual clearly describes how the wheel is used to "Adjust the rain sensor sensitivity level"

[/quote]Agree 100% -- I like to be in control of how much rain is on the screen before it decides to wipe. I spent some time driving an M-B without a sensitivity adjustment and it drove me crazy -- it wiped way too often! As I've said before, the E39 was about perfect. Hopefully the E60's will be refined with future software updates...
