Will these work on an E60 and if so, what are my rim options?

Tire size 225-60-15

Don't think you want to go down to a 15" wheel/tire combo - probably too many clearance problems around brakes etc.

17" is optimal size for dedicated snows though some have gone up to 20" wheels. IMHO taller and narrower is better for moderate - severe winter conditions.

Like Lou said, I don't think 15 will clear the calipers. There are lots of inexpensive wheel options once you get to 17s anyway.

I would get 17's as well, 15's won't fit with your brake discs

+1 for 17s or 18s. some have a 19" winter setup as well.

The smallest wheel size you see on tirerack for winter wheel setups for the E60 is 17 inches. I agree that smaller wheels with taller sidwalls are better for the winter in terms of traction and pothole protection. For a winter setup, I'd do 17s or 18s but not 19s or 20s.

You want 17's with 225/50/17 rubber.

I have 18's on my car and it handles excellent on the snow. Personally the snow performance difference between 17's vs 18's is not enough to forgo the reduced performance when it is not snowing. I made the mistake of going to a 17" setup on my X5 (down form the 20") and i will never make that mistake again.
