My 530D will be put in my garage for 3 months over the winter and not started or run for the entire period . I've read about filling the tank completely, but what else do I need to do? The electrics need to remain alive apparently & what about tires? Grateful for some advice.

I'll jack up the car on all 4 corners so there is no weight on the tires. This will prevent flat spot. Trickle charge the battery and put a car cover to prevent dust and foreign material on your paint. With my boat, I also use a fuel stabilizer. I am not sure if that is the same with cars.

I've left vehicles in garage storage for over 6 months and did absolutely nothing to them - they fired right up the first time I tried to start and the tires were fine.
However, with the battery issues on these cars - a trickle charger would be a good idea. Not sure why the electronics need to stay alive though.
+1 on putting all four corners on jackstands and using a car cover. Although 3 months shouldn't create flat spots on your tires.

The only thing you may want to do to the car is put a trickle charger on the battery or disconnect it. Nothing else to worry about, 3 months isnt a long time and tyres wont flat spot as long as theres normal pressure in them.
