Hey Guys,
Finally got my winter shoes on. Ordered VMR V710's. 18" x 8.5. Gun Metal.
Rubber is Bridgestone Blizzak WS60 - 245/40/18
They only had 35 offset so I purchased 15mm spacers from H&R. Looks good in the front, but I think the rear could come out a little more. I should have got 20mm spacers in the rear. What do you think after looking at the pictures?
The wheels came with VMR black centre caps, which I swapped with the BMW OEM caps for now.
Purchased them from Kevin @ VMR. He was a great help and coordinated getting the tires from Tire Rack. He mounted, road-force balanced the tires and shipped the full package to me for a flat fee.
I would highly recommend him if you need help: 714-442-7916 ext 103
The ride is great! Feels really nice compared to the OEM run-flats.
However, I did get some "jelly-effect" when I tried some sharp, quick turns. I was warned about this on the WS60's as they are not meant for performance, but I went with them because of their awesome ice & snow capabilities.
My only regret is that the tires do not seem aggressive enough. Don't get me wrong on the tread pattern - the grip is awesome. But, purely from an ascetics perspective, I would have liked the side-wall of the tires to be more prominent. I wonder if I should have gone with a wider profile tire? Like maybe 250 or 255? But that would also change the overall handling and ride quality.
I also need to be more aware of curb rash now. Although my OEM wheels are also 18", the tires fit differently and gave more protection to the rims. Do you guys know what I mean?
Anyway, I'm very happy with the wheels so far and have a better idea of what I'm going to run for the summer.
Thanks for looking!

These are the same original OEM BMW centre caps off my 128 wheels. They are the exact same size as the VMW V710 18" centre caps. Not sure why yours did not fit???
