Interesting surprise today. I went to the dealer ready to hand over $80 for a new pair of wipers. I only paid $31. The dealer (Roseville BMW, Ca.) asked if I wanted OE or after-market. I asked what the difference was and the parts guy said OEM is a little longer. I popped them on and they fit and work fine. Only difference is there is no specific blade for the driver/passenger side. They are cut to be "generic" to fit both sides. So if you don't mind the generic look, they're perfect. It was a nice surprise.

I actually always hated OEM un-equal length arms. My car is still under free maintenance, so they probably will not put wnything other than OEM. What a shame!

BMW wiper blades are basically useless after a month.

I've heard people complain about RAIN-X, right on this board. I guess it's a love-hate relationship.

I use Rain-X on my other cars (Suburban and G-20) and love it. Dumb me got caught up in the "feeding frenzy" of purchasing and bought some crap from the dealer. Wasted money! I'll use Rain-X again.

Are we talking about Rain-X the chemical repellant or their brand of wiper blades?

I love the Rain-X washer fluid. Used it for years on every car.

I put Rain-X blades on my 545i not long ago, they work just fine. I also use the washer fluid.
