I think the only thing you need to do is go to your nearest dealer asap, cos u never know when your windows will open again and it's not safe to leave it open for sure.

thanks for the advice......as of right now i pulled the fuse in the glove box so that it wont happen no more, i just cant roll down the windows using the drivers control. and i have to lock the drivers door manually. i ve been really busy so as soon as i get a chance ill take it to the dealer or probally take the door apart and maybe replace the actuator my self.

This has happened to me twice. Both times the key was jammed in my pocket with a bunch of junk and the button on the key was being accidently pressed...

Are you sure the unlock button on the key fob wasn't pressed and held down while in your pants pocket? It also unlocks the car, but if no door is opened the car will relock itself and you really have no way of telling if the key fob did infact lower the windows.
Several times I've returned to my car and found the trunk open. After reading other threads in this form I learned the button is easily pressed while in your pocket - hence the open trunk. The key fob range is quite a distance. Since then I have made sure the key fob is in my jacket or shirt pocket where it can't get pressed by another object. No problem since then.

I just got my 535xi last week - so I am no expert by any means - but I know there is a feature that works off a timer in the iDrive that will open the windows and sunroof to "cool" the car. You have to set the timer to activate this option - but I suppose in navigating through menus you could have inadvertantly activated this option............
