hi all,
yesterday a window alarm message showed up on my dash board when turning "ON" my 530i,2004.i found the following problem with the rear right window :when pressing the open/close button to go "down" or "up"to its lowest/highest position by one press(push button to extreme),what it does is that it goes "UP" or "DOWN" by 10 centimeters only(not the complete distance) then it stops.i have to press nearly five times to get the window completely opened/closed.
Please note that this problem takes place from both locations, the driver side and the rear right window side.
have anyone seen this problem before?what might be wrong?
thank you in advance for your assistance.

thank u for the link for resetting the window anti trap.
before trying this i need to ask about the third step mentioned in the reset procedure (when close one touch) it says at the end "to hold down", shouldn't be to hold up instead?
do u know where can i download such useful service tips as the one u sent?

Chances are they don't exist. This is why this forum is great. People find out about all these nice features and share the info with the rest of the community.

This is great, thanks. I just got me car back from the dealer because the window anti trap needed to be reset. They did it for nothing under my CPO but it was a pain to bring the car in. Mine was caused by low voltage so they also charged the battery.
