Hey Guys, I recently picked a 2006 530i black on black.... I noticed the frame around the windows on the driver and passenger side are giving like a tarnished look. Kinda resembles gasoline. Any ideas how to get this off?
Thanks
Mike

Its this color. I cant get a pic right now of the actual door. But where the frame around the window between the end of the driver door and rear door. I'm struggling explaining it.

Hmmm...that's weird...usually only glossy trim experiences this...
You can use polish on glossy trim to get that off in a second, but I am not sure about that rubberized trim....

Rub some 3M polishing compound/cream on it with a buffer. It will bring it to a nice shine. Have you ever looked at your mouse and keyboard and notice where you type the most (usually the spacebar) you'll see it's worn and shiny from excessive clicks? that's what you'll do. It will take any contaminants off as well. No worries. I'd recommend using a small 6" electric buffer. Clean it with palmolive first.
if i rub it with my finger hard enough it comes off. Weird, I'll give that a try.
Thanks guys
