....sorry guys this question has probably been done to death but having looked around a bit on here and other sites I still cant be sure of the correct answer.

I have a friend with a 645ci who has recently upgraded his wheels. I have a e60 535d (55 plate) and was wondering if his wheels would fit my car without modification/spacers etc.

Does anyone know the answer?

Wheels probably yes, but tires probably not.

Can you point out which wheels are they?

Thanks, what a selection

They are from memory 126.

I think the tyre size on his is 245/45/18 (he is double checking and getting back to me), my current MV2's have 245/40/18's so I dont think the rolling radius of his will be the same and maybe give false speed readings.

edit: According to BMW, the style 126 is available in 19" instead of 18" and they're 7er wheels. But check it and let's investigate again.
edit 2: Do you mean they're style 120?

Thanks for your help....

How odd?

Double checked with the pic he sent me earlier, they are definitely 'style 126' and 18" on his 645ci?

I am still waiting for him to confirm the tyre size.

That is the style 120. You must have clicked the wrong link. Notice how the name of the wheel is mentioned ABOVE the picture .

Yes, they will fit your car, and with some luck, the tyres may fit as well. It may rub on some situations, though.

Many thanks

Ha, I feel an eeediottt!! I was looking at the label below the pic, not above it! Doh!!

My second question would be, if he comes back with the tire size of 45 not 40 I am guessing it would affect the rolling radius? Would I get a misrepresented speed reading?

Yep. Your speedometer will be showing around 2-3 mph less than before.
I run 245/40 R19 as my winter setup (the same overall diameter as with 245/45 R18), and now my speedometer shows exactly the right numbers according to GPS. My speed reading was too high before with the standard tyres (that wasn't the reason to upgrade the tyre size, though).
