From what I've read about the offsets for BMW, our E60 offsets is in the medium range and the offsets for the E46 is a high, in the 40+mm; and with 9" up front, it will rub if you get the appropriate tires size for that rim.
I suppose you can use a spacer to push it out but if too much then your tires will stick out.

You won't know if they fit or not if you don't know the offsets, those numbers are pretty key. From my experience with M3 wheels on our cars, you will need a +15 to +25mm spacer up front but the rears should be fine.
