Dear e60 forum:
Will our e60's take an 285/35/19 rear tire on the rear 166Ms rim ok, or will it scrub sometimes?
Thanks in advance.
Eddie

Check out jsal's post on his experience with big tires on 166s - no rubbing issues reported.
And check out Lomag's perfect set-up - again, no rubbing issues reported.
I would have put 285/30-19s on my 166s, but the new Bridgestones do not come in that size - and the PS2s in that size cost about $5,000 each.

I had a question,
will a 255/35/20 tire cover a 20x10 rim sufficiently? Or is it now wide enough?
hmm....

will look extremely stretched and I wouldn't do it
10" means 254 mm rim width. How are 255mm tyre cover it correctly and leave you a decent sidewall ?
No, No, No

Dear olli_535d:
NO, I don't think it is time yet, but it's getting real close to the 11th hour....I do not know you, and I did not know this ether, until last night when a e60 member was so kind to bring it to my attention, but did you know there are some more critical issues concerning our e60's i.e. : TIRE SIZE Vs. DSC....
![Help](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/help.gif)
I have not got tons of money like some to throw around, (I wish I did though, LOL), so I always make every dollar count, and I do my research well, before I buy big items, and try not make costly $$$$ errors! I thank God for this e60 forum, and it's members positive support I have been getting this past month in my 166M rim and tire research!.

FYI: Last Week I purchased the BMW OEM 166M rims, (And will post pictures here at e60 as soon as it is a done deal, and their installed), and at this time I am fine tuning the tire sizes...
In conclusion: Many thanks for your concerns, and Sir, have a good day!
