Hello everyone! Im new to the forum but had a question. I have a 2006 BMW 525i that originally came with the M-ASK system, A buddy gave me his CCC Navigation unit after upgrading to a CIC unit. Ive done my research and the conversion seems pretty straightforward but I do see an issue with the face plate on the e92 CCC vs the e60 CCC. I can order the face plate from BMW for the e60 but am curious as to if it will work? any help would be great!

You have a nice friend. You will have to change the faceplate, as you have noted. You'll also have to code the CCC to the car.

no. they are not the same size/unit....

Thanks... kind of what I thought, I lucked out and found a used face-plate for $40 as far as coding goes I'm fairly familiar with NCS Expert so it shouldn't be too much of an issue.



What exactly do you mean they are not the same size? all CCC units are the same same size, however they do have different face-plates based on the model vehicle they came in. My question was specifically around whether the face-plates were interchangeable?

If you do a part number search on penskeparts or realoem then you'll see that the CCC is the same on all of the cars. BMW used different faceplates for each model.
