So as I'm washing the car today, I notice a dent on the passenger side front fender. I'm looking around for paint left by the other car when they hit me. I found nothing. No paint gone, no paint left by the other car. So I think to myself, "How could have this happened?" Then I remembered that my brother has the exact same dent in the exact same spot on his STi. In both cases we concluded that someone had punched in the fender. I can't believe people would do that. They see a nice car and think to themselves "Hmmm, because I'm a dumbass and I don't have a nice car or vehicle at all, I'm going to go around town and punch in fenders of other people's cars." What is wrong with these people?

These people are going to die knowing they did nothing of value in their entire lives.

Can you take a pic of the dent? Don't mess with it. If the paint is not cracked it's most likely self-repairable.

Depends on the type of dent, material (metal/plastic) and location. They can be simple if approached the correct way.

Guys, how do you tell a malicious dent from an accidental dent?

It's probably from a kick, not a punch -- less pain to the asshole who did it.

I've had this done to my car before.....
