We drive BMW because of its handling and with it we feel the road. Plus our E60 is a safe car.
Best wishes for your next E61!

Its pretty reassuring to see that nobody was injured in the BMW with that head-on collision. Not to say that I do not hope the other person is uninjured as well, but I feel comfortable driving my E60.

Glad she is okay.

Glad your wife is OK. You have to love german engineering that is awesome. The hood is smashed and engine but everything behind it looks untouched with the part that matters. A friend of mine who has a mercedes shop told me a story about a accident he had. He got hit head on around 60MPH. I forgot what benz he was driving but the person who hit him in a SUV had to be airlifted to the hospital and he walked away from the accident unharmed. If your wife had been in another vechile it may not have turned out as well. You think they will total the car?

wow, glad to here your wife is ok, hope the same is true for the other driver.

as for the car, safety is something alot of us dont consider when purchasing a vehicle. usually its style, speed or comfort. nice to know that the bmw gives you all of that plus the piece of mind to know youll survive an accident like this.

I was going to say, these cars don't just look and perform awesome, but they can save your life. I'm very glad your wife is OK. This will truly be a special New Years Eve for both of you. Cheers.

Wow... glad wife is OK. I took my wife from a Volvo XC70 AWD Wagon to an X3. Want her in a quality, safe ride.

Cars can be replaced... family can not.

Good to hear your wife is OK ...

Too bad (some) drivers in AWD SUVs think they can neutralize the laws of physics or think that advertisements promoting baha driving on public roads is "permission" to drive recklessly!

Glad to hear your wife is okay -- the car did it's job and sacrificed itself to protect what's important!

Wow! That is one hell of an impact! Glad your wife is ok. Hope the other driver recovers too. Ice and snow is so deadly. Hope the insurance covers everything, and your back in another E61 soon!!

Glad to hear that your wife is ok,hope the other's are too,it just show's that you just don't know what's round the corner in term's of what's going to happen as soon as you start to drive off,hey a couple of second's earlier or later and it would'nt have happened, suppose the ice and snow was the deciding factor, look's like the beemer did it's job.
