I would like to thank (most of you) for the comments about the Roundel and point out I?m nowhere near 60.

It is true that many of the board members and writers are closer to 60 than I am, but they still put most other car mags to shame.
Had a feeling you were going to comment here

Always enjoy reading your articles J

Great. I didnt know that there was a Roundel writer in here somewhere. Although I do feel that way about roundel, i would have chosen my words more wisely. My apologies for insulting anyone. That was NEVER my intent and I feel terrible about it.

That said, Again it is obvious that contributors are passionate about BMWs, and this i appreciate. I really do feel it is geared towards an older crowd. I am 26. I cannot relate to the nostolgic stories about driving a brand new 2002 through the mountians of austria.

I am not attempting to back out of what I said, just issuing an apology for my total lack of tact when responding to the OP, knowing that there is a Roundel contributor in here.

Please don?t worry, I didn?t take your comments badly or personally since they didn?t seem to apply to me directly anyway.

But would you really not want to get into a 2002 and drive through Austria?

Personally, I love Roundel. I love reading the rich history of BMW (I am a history buff), I actually like the articles and it makes a hell of a lot better coffee table mag than, say, maxim.

As a member of both clubs, the PCA and the BMWCCA (plus the Cessna Pilots Association) my read on the two, plus to answer the OP, Roundel is more about the BMW car, where Panorama is more geared towards the Porsche people and driving experience. Roundel appeals to a much younger and hipper crowd, evident by comparing the last issues side by side and one thing that jumps out is that I have NEVER seen a mule disguised or spy shot of a new Porsche model in Panorama, only company provided material. I enjoy reading the old racing stories, and it is cool to read the advice section and read about knuckleheads who try to check the oil level on a 911 with the car off. Back on point though, you get a lot of information from being a member of the club. If you step up to the plate and get a replacement F10 for that 5r you drive now, your looking at a $1500.00 rebate. There is also a whole new world to explore if you get involved with your local club. I frequent the Porsche meetings, been to two BMW ones, and they are really a lot of fun.

If you mean the BMW CCA Member Reward, it is $1000.

I thought I read that the new F10 was $1500.00. My bad.

The BMW CCA Member Reward program sometimes skips new models I should add but they never announce anything before a model is officially available in the BMW NA market.

The F10 won?t be out until mid next year so speculation on any changes for the Reward would be premature at best.
