Then new ones (starting from April this year) are code N52. The current V8 4.4 litre engine goes under the code N62 and the current R4 family engines N42. For example my car is a E60 525iA with a R6-type N52 engine. |
A lot of the initial press releases from BMW called it the R6. I like this 12 page article on the new BMW engines...
