Why do MUSTANG drivers go CRAZY when they see a 5-series?

I am minding my own business, driving down my main drag. In front of me (and in the same lane I am in) I see a Mustang GT pulling to the light. Soon after we all come to a stop - the light changes to green, and as soon as he is able, the guy accelerates nearly rear-ending the guy in front of him - as he violently swings the car to the left lane and peels out to get ahead of the car in front of him.
I see this kind of stuff all the time.
Of course it could be a coincidence... but if not, what gives?

My Ride: 2004 530i
my dad has a 04, gt convertible and a 03' mach 1 (heavily modified)... he has like 6 cars total... he loves my bimmer and is a bit jealous when i come home to visit

That is hilarious!!! I get "Attacked" all the time by the horsey. My first car was a mustang so I am not a hater. I was just telling my wife that there has to be some underground "fight club" the mustangs have in preparation for BMW's.
