I am a new E60 owner and love everything I have had for 10 weeks apart from a crunching noise from the backrest part of my Dakota sport seat.

My earlier post got no responses, does this mean I am the only one to suffer this annoyance.

Imagine my feeling when in the quiest comfort I extend the 500 Nm of torque and get pushed forward and back into a seat with foam padding that crunches and creaks very loud like something inside has become detached inside the back of the seat.

I have to keep music on to avoid embarrasement with passengers

Help

I don't remember hearing anyone else with that complaint (and I didn't see your first post -- sorry!) so it might be something the dealer needs to look at for you...

Yes, but SE model with Sports seats up grade (as in the M sport model)

I was not sure weather the dealer would laugh at me, never had to go back to dealer yet. Passenger seat has no such loud crunch / creak. Must be the foam inside that had become un-bonded in some way? how would the dealer fix that?

Not sure maybe replace the whole seat which would take time and money or just replace the foam in the seats

Sometimes the frame on the passenger seat of my car creaks and it is irritating, but after moving the seat about a bit with on the runner and the back height it stopped doing it and hasnt done it for months now.
