Well I ordered my '08 528 back on 1/09/07 and it was brought to my attention that the Cold weather pkg(ZCW) is Required for Night Vision, which makes no sense as to why, especially in my situation. I ordered Ventilated seats which come with Heated seats, and in '06 when I ordered my last 525i, they said when you order Ventilated seats you can't get the cold weather pkg.

I know its a little confusing but now if I want Night Vision I need cold weather but I thought when you get Ventilated you cannot get Cold weather?

Check this out, that means with my setup I'm paying for only a heated steering wheel and headlight washers but paying the full price of the cold weather pkg and for the premium I'm paying for Universal garage door, auto dimming mirrors, lumbar, and ambient light, although the pkg comes with Dakota leather, I'm paying for Nasca too.

So in essence I have to pay twice for leather(since dakota is in the prem pkg & Nasca seperately) and twice for heated seats(it comes with ventilated & Cold Weather)

How weak is that?

Peace

My (limited) experience with BMW ordering from new tells me that generally there are multiple prices for options, depending on whether they can be fitted to different levels of trim, and you should end up paying only for them once. But I may be wrong.

I think this is something that your dealer can adjust.

As I saw it, Nasca's price is the upgrade over regular leather. There is no combination of order options you could choose that does not include both prices.

I believe the Priority 1 option for Ventilated Seats is a stand alone option now (Nasca leather and Comfort Seats are still required), but it no longer includes heated seats. A bunch of people have gotten ventilated seats with CWP here.

Ventilated was a standard option previously(453), back in March '05 I ordered a 2006 525i with Ventilated and it does come with heated seats and Comfort seats(now called multi-contour seats) are no longer required, in fact it was not required since March '05 production. The Requirement for Ventilated seats are Nasca Leather and Premium Pkg.

Regarding the requirement for Cold Weather Package to get the Night Vision, I think this is due to the headlight high pressure washer that's also used for the IR lens.
