Right, I've posted this loads of times here. The 330i Sport manual is only 24 pounds lighter than my 06 530i sport manual. The individual gears are identical, but the final drive ratio on the 530i gives it the advantage.
The 5 Sport has the advantage of Dynamic Drive, which IMO is one of the best driving options you can add to the order sheet. The 3 doesn't offer this option. Other than that, once the fall production is started, the 5 Series should be pretty similar in terms of features like the pushbutton start and DTC+.
