2006 550 now at 63k. Maybe its finally broke in.

Lots of oil changes and running smoother after a recent tranny oil and filter change (DIY). Only issues have been a right tie rod replacement, fuel tank vacuum pump, and windshield spray pump (all DIYs).

Most impressive is the great build quality and how the interior still looks like new. Leather and wood are very durable and look great. Only gripe really is the paint which chips more than I'd like.

156,000 miles.
No major problems with the engine, but the passenger restraint malfunction warning just came on this week.

05 E60- 109,000

Passenger restraint malfunction showed up a few months ago. Although car is within the production window for the recall, dealer says the seat in the car is not on the recall. ???
Such crap! Have replaced the battery and the seat belt restraint per the coding but still no solution.

Replaced rear and windshield rubber trim pieces.

The cars here in Serbia all say they have 130,000 KMs on them. however they buy high mileage cars in Germany, etc that have like 300-400k on them, and roll back the odo.

My car has 201,000 original kms, but I bought it in Hungary at a BMW dealership, not some shady Serbian dealership

Oh man... I'm so sorry to hear that. I absolutely love my 04' 530i. It is such a damn bulletproof engine *knock on wood*. I'm at 121k miles and love every minute of it in the car.

I have the same issue, 2005 E60 within the recall dates, but my VIN not included. Turns out a bad IBS sensor and/or negative terminal triggers this same warning. Both DIS and INPA show IBS errors and when I reset it, it goes away, but comes back anywhere from 3-6 months later.

I'll keep resetting it until I eventually replace the IBS.
