I have had my 530i now for 9 months and i needed an alignment 4 months after i purchased the car in Feb, due to a bad toll highway here in orlando florida (east-west expresse way 408) that at the time had a lot of ups and downs in a section where the car bottomed out. Alignment was done in May and it was perfect. I toke my car in about 3 weeks ago to get the antitrap function warning fixed on my back left window. after that i noticed that the steering was a bit of to the left slighty when going straight. doesn't really pull unless its a crowned road. they also checked a few problems i had with the iDrive resetting its self. Do E60's BMW get alignments thrown off easy from normal driving? please share your steering and alignment storys and when did you have your cars aligned and when and why.

I had an alignment done after 28000km. Left wheel had no toe in! I could feel it for almost 5000km ( lazy!? ). So when I bought my new rims I did the alignment. Don?t want to wear down the 21" tyres too early

When they fixed your anti trap issue, they likely updated the CIP, and perhaps forgot to reset active steering (which needs to be done each time they update CIP). This happened to me once when the CIP was updated. I took it back the next day and they reset AS while I waited.
