I have them and it's the only feature on my car I would NOT re-order if I had to buy a new 5 today
the trick seems to be that moving your buttocks should relief your back muscles, in real life it only gives me sore buttocks.
there is another option that moves the siderests of the back of the chair when cornering, so as to give you extra support, and this option is not combinable with the ventilated seats.

This is what they are going to do. MB already has this in there car and this is currently on the new X5 (E70). One switch will control both the ventilatation and the heated seats. You will push up for cool air and down for heat!

Aa far as I remember Iceman likes using both at a time.

I don't understand this... what switch, where? And what if you want air and heat (both)?
I only see one heated seat button on the X5 and it doesn't look like something that can also control a second function...

Can you elaborate?

Aren't ventilated seats for "cooling" you down in hot, humid weather?

Yes ... but you can also have them on with the heat to get even more toasty...

There are times when it can be helpfull to have both functions on at the same time.
After sports, or simply for people that experience back problems.
