Where do these clips go?
I did some work around the area of my center console about a year ago but I did not secure the panels because I still had more work to do in that area. I just recently did the CIC controller retrofit so I am now done with that area. My problem is I can't figure out how to get these clips back to hold the lower panel at the rear of the center console. When I removed that panel it just popped out, I did not see where the clips came from.

I am most likely wrong, but those look like the clips that hold in pieces of the trim (in the front of the car, if you pull out your wooden stripe, there are things that look like those in the holes where the trim attachment areas go)

Those clips hold in that panel pictured I just don't know how, all the positions I tried it doesn't fit. I guess my question is more about 'how' rather than 'where.'

those clips actually are to hold the AC panel in place. In your photo you;ll see that they slide at the bottom between the ridges and hold the AC panel to the plastic frame of the armrest.

The clip you post I believe is for the top vent area and not the lower trim panel. If you have lost these clips you will need to purchase an entire new panel because the clips are not sold seperaltely. I circled in your picture where the clip when you locate it will go. It's possible they are down inside the console area. maybe try removing the two 10 mm bolts and lift it up to have a look.

Thanks everyone. The AC panel sits snug so I assumed these were for the lower section. I must have lost the clips for the lower section because there is nothing under there. I removed the entire armrest a few times but I didn't see any other clips.

The bottom doesn't have clips that come free. the clips are fixed to the lower panel and more spring fixes.

This...It happened to me. It grabs on to the side that's visible in the second pic. It could have bent out of shape so it doesn't look normal and out of place.

There is nothing on the trim, I can see where they would sit. I took this part off about a year ago. No telling what happened, but I do remeber it taking some prying. I went to the dealer, I need to get the entire panel as Tony mentioned. I'm going to get one then remove the clips. Dealer wanted $190 for the exact trim as mine and $50 for a regular plastic trim. I can get a regular plastic trim from ECS Tuning for $12 + $11 shipping.
