I recommend you go certified pre-owned through BMW... Great warranty and financing right now!

Which market are you in? America? UK? Europe? Guatemala? Madagascar? Makes a huge difference as you can image.

I have been very happy with my 2007 530. For the miles I put on, about 30k per year, I think this engine is a great compromise between fuel consumption and power. It is quiet (the 5 series is one of the quietest cars on the road), very smooth over poor roads (even with Sport), great sound system, headlights, etc and I get 27.5-29.5 mpg on trips (actual, not iDrive). My feeling is the manual is best gearbox for this engine's (wish there was just a little broader) torque curve.

Good luck in your search!

Do you need to purchase right away? It's always hard to predict what will happen with interest rates, but as 07 lease returns start coming back in, I would expect there will be some even better financing offers as well. Looks like they start at 3.9% now (doesn't specify term)..this is for CPO from a dealer.

My dealer found a car for me among the lease returns (it wasn't on his lot). Disadvantage was that I had to commit to it sight unseen. You really need to be sure about what options you want in that case, and also ask for some initial bumper to bumper coverage, just in case they miss something in the certification process.

Good luck!
PS Get comfort seats. I wish I had done that!

I am in US (west coast) market.
Looking for a good deal on 07 530i with Sports/Cold Weather Pkg.
I can wait 1-2 month or buy immediately. When would be the best time to hunt one?

Thanks.

Word from the dealerships a month or so ago was that they were hoping BMW would offer something on 07's soon. I would watch the CPO financing offers on BMWUSA (I see someone sent you the link) and also start talking to a dealership or two who can let you know when they get a new rate. I did learn that BMW likes to play with the rates...so even though they may post a rate on their website through a certain date, you can't necessarily count on it. Trick is to know what you want and be ready to buy when they do offer something. Sounds like you might be in a position to do that. GL!
