I got 16.0 yesterday, according to my dealer that is the latest version and they only got it last week. My RDS (station names properly displayed) now finally works! I have Nav Pro. As far as I can see there are no extra features in 16.0.

Umm, not to ask the obvious, but why would they have a new version if there are no changes?

CIP 16.0 referes to the CD number, this cd contains software for the 1 Series, 5 Seres, 6 Series and 7 Series.

Whenever one of the cars software changes th CD number changes.
Now the 5 series software didnt change but one of the other cars ones did

16.1 is supposed to contain some changes for the E60, but the big changes should be in 16.2

My dads car is going to the garage (day after tomorrow, sorry can't say it on other way)

Is 16.2 yet at the dealer so the dealer can update it?

My car had to get new software because they fitted a stationary heating to my car and that's controlled by the i-Drive.

Wow I think I found a good tech with reliable info. I called him yesterday and he said that V16 is comming yo us in CA end of the month but he said theres no changes either. Told me to wait for 16.1 or even 16.2 for the update to fix my SMG. I want to wait for 16.2 but DANG Sooooooooo long! At least the tech is willing to tell me good info. I like that. So Info I've been getting has been pretty consistant with what I read here about V16.x

If 16.1 or 2 does contain the Birdview upgrade, does that mean we'd have to purchase a new NAV DVD, or is the technology the same where both system can be integrated?
