Any one who lives in the uk will agree we get far to much rain, this means that when i put my foot down all I get is spinning wheels and my 530 gets tail happy! I dont mind this when im having a bit of fun however when I have the family in the car I would like a bit more stability.

Its even worse now its snowing, and what I wanted to know is by pressing the button will it give me more control?

Thanks for any help you can give.

I would leave it on...they only time I would turn it off in the snow would be to roll that car free.

There is DSC button to turn off? DSC is on by default. It's DTC (Dynamic Traction Control), when pressed will enable DTC & turn off DSC.

DSC is turned on automatically when you start the car. Pressing the DTC button enables DTC and reduces DSC. Press the button for more than 3 seconds, and DSC is FULLY disabled.

Dont use fully DSC off (3 secs) on closed snowy roads but yes too much fun on open roads or a fully empty parking or field (sometimes your car can get stuck on the snow). DTC on (push the button) double fun on snow (fun for cornering but make sure it is safe to drive and no people or cars close. DSC on just for safely and normal driving.

NOTE: Be responsible using DSC and DTC on snow!!

Really? Mine only spins in rain if I turn off both DSC and DTC. Can't get it to spin wheels with the system full-on. It tries to spin, but the DTC takes over and prevents the wheels from spinning.

Had to disable fully (the 3 second hold down) several times on way home last night... just to get enough spin to clear ice from under the tyres when stopped in some jams.

I enable DTC in deep snow on flat sections

I disable DSC if I have to climb hills in the winter. That will allow the rear wheels to spin faster than the front. I sometimes need the extra spin to get up the hill. Also, without dsc disabled I found I was almost getting to the top then the engine would reduce power to stop the rear wheel s from spinning faster than the front and would be stuck on the crest.

I also found that putting a few sand bags (about 150 lbs) in the trunk makes a big difference. I just leave them in all winter
