So I was planning on putting on the trunk lid finisher to my soon to be arriving LCI e60 so that it would have that nice flat look in the rear. Here a pic with the finisher installed:
Thankfully BMW#6 pointed out that the trunk lid is different on the LCI. At least on the LCI, there is more of a "finisher look" when compared to the 2007... but still not what I was looking to achieve by adding the finisher in the first pic.
2008 LCI
2007
So here are my questions....
Do you think there is a 2008/LCI trunklid finisher available?
Would the finisher off the LCI M5 work? Or is the LCI M5 still utilizing the old trunklid and the original finisher?
And... would a finisher even attach to the new trunklid on the 2008/LCI given the shape of it?
I am thinking a finisher is not availble, that the LCI M5 uses the old style trunklid with the original finisher because the new trunklid's shape would not allow for the attachment of a finisher. What do you all think?

When I saw the backside of the LCI e60, the first thing that came to mind was how is the trunk lid finisher going to go on? It's not looking good for LCI 60 owners wanting wanting the trunk lid finisher.
The trunk lid finisher is an OEM part.

Do you order the "finisher" aftermarket or from the dealer? I'd check the part numbers; then you'll know. grover

Sorry but I dont see the difference between the boot lids? All I can see is that the LCI pictured here has no number plate holder and the pre-LCI one has. Can some point me to this difference. It could well be that I'm just plain tired.

You must be very tired
Look at the area around the number plate holder. The shape is different on the LCI compared to the pre - LCI.
