When did the pro nav get more detailed maps?

My Ride: 2006 530 d M-sport e60
I know that the menu colours were changed at CIP 25 but didnt realise that the nav maps became much more detailed too.
My car has just had a 12 hour update and menus and maps look way better than before.

You didn't swap out the nav dvd to a newer version?
Mine also looks much more detailed now but that is because I upgraded from the stock 05 nav dvd to the 09 version per the directions on this forum

I had my software updated (from the version it came with as a July 2005 build to the early 2010 version), and I didn't notice any change to the maps

i updated to the 2010 version, but NO software update and yet i see the same level of detail that you have and the same at what i had with my 2005 disk, im not sure if there is any change in the level of detail in anyway, urmmmm, can you point it plz?

menus arew slighlty better speed wise, iPhone connects straight away now. depending on how many modules you have will determine how long it takes, took 12 hours for my car but
the update charge will be capped at 2.5 hours labour which depending on the dealer you choose will cost £200-£300.
